The School of Health Promotion is a direct reflection of the purpose of the College of Health and Human Services – there is no greater need than the continued pursuit of improving the health and wellbeing of human life. Everything we practice, teach, and believe in comes from our desire to positively impact and radically improve the health and wellbeing of the people in our community.

Whether you are driven to make a positive impact on your community’s overall health, or are passionate about transforming lives through health promotion, or want to push boundaries and improve the performance of the human body – we know you will feel right at home in the School of Health Promotion & Human Performance in one of our industry leading programs!

Our Programs

Athletic Training
Nobody pushes the boundaries of human performance more than athletes and this often times leads to injury. In order to maintain their body’s long-term health and performance, athletes (from young to old, high school to professional) need the help of qualified trainers who can help them train to prevent injury and help them rehabilitate if an injury does occur. Our Athletic training program will provide you with a scientific foundation and the critical thinking skills necessary to prevent, manage, and rehabilitate athletic injuries! Find out more here!

Exercise Science
As our careers and lifestyles become more and more sedentary, the risk for heart disease and other morbidities increase exponentially. In order to enjoy long, healthy lives, exercise and fitness need to become an essential component of our daily routines. Exercise is recognized as a critical component in preventing diseases, and treating certain illnesses. Our Exercise Science program is built around a scientific curriculum that will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to improve human performance and radically transform lives through exercise, while also preparing you for a variety of graduate professional schools.
